Recently when my heels became dry and cracked, I discovered there are many shea butter products available. Pure shea butter has all of its natural vitamins and nutrients that are often lost in refined shea butter. This makes it more effective in treating cracked heels. Although the pure form does have an odor, it fades away shortly after you put it on. I treated my heels with Shea Butter Heel Balm offered by Powerfeet. It was amazing how fast this product heeled my cracked, painful heels. With just a few days of use, my heels were soft and smooth again. No more cracks for me. I use this miraculous balm everyday as part of my foot care.
Proper Foot Care
If you think about it, our feet take a tremendous amount of abuse and neglect during the course of a day. Feet should be pampered and properly cared for. After my episode with cracked heels, I now take care of my feet by:
· Soaking them for about twenty minutes a day.
· Thoroughly drying and applying moisturizing products.
· Massaging each foot to stimulate circulation and alleviate stress and tension.
· Regularly trimming toenails and filing away any uneven spots.
· Monitoring for any abnormalities on a regular basis
· Yearly visits to my podiatrist unless there is a problem.
You should make the time to take care of your feet. Healthy feet make for a healthier you.

Head lice are a parent’s worst nightmare. And this is the time of year they start to really show up. These pesky bugs are itchy and hard to get rid of. Luckily they are not really dangerous, but most people and children are embarrassed by them. The truth is that natural lice are not caught from lack of hygiene as many people believe. They are only spread by close contact. And they can’t be washed out with regular shampoos.
The traditional head lice shampoo that you will find is full of pesticides. These are not only bad for children, they also do not work very well anymore. The lice bugs have become so use used to the pesticides that they have built up immunity to them. If you leave even one bug alive it will start to lay more nits, eggs, immediately and the infestation will start all over. The pesticides also do nothing to get rid of the nits. Nits attach themselves to the hair shaft with their own glue like substance making them difficult to comb out. If nits are left in the hair they will hatch into new lice in a week or so.
Many people even try mayonnaise treat head lice. A better alternative is a head lice shampoo that is chemical free. Life Organics makes a great lice shampoo from natural oils. The natural oils kill the lice. Life Organics Enzyme Treatment makes the nits easier to comb out because the nit glue is loosened. This two step process is a great way to get your child lice free naturally.

Skin Creams with Alpha Hydroxy Acids
Many skin creams and serums designed for anti aging contain alpha hydroxy acids. These versatile acids have shown significant skin care benefits. They are suitable for both dry and oily skin. They also work for aging skin as well as those with acne. AHA can help smooth skin and bring back a youthful glow.
AHA work by exfoliating the skin. They are able to remove dead skin cells by loosening the glue that holds skin cells together. Exfoliation helps control oil. It also reduces the appearance of fine lines and improves the tone of skin.
There are a few types of alpha hydroxyl acids that are commonly used in skin creams. Glycolic is the most common and has the most benefits. Glycolic acid has a smaller molecular structure. This allows it to penetrate deep into skin where it can be the most effective. Citric Acid, or Vitamin C, also has many skin benefits. Citric acid helps increase collagen production. Increased collagen will help reduce wrinkles, age spots, and sagging skin.
It is important to use AHA’s in proper concentrations for them to be safe. Most experts suggest at home usage of 10% or less. This is the amount often found in skin care creams. Higher concentrations may be used with the supervision of a dermatologist. Using a skin care cream with alpha hydroxyl acids regularly can make the skin smoother, improve skin tone, reduce age spots, and reduce wrinkles. The many benefits of AHA’s are very impressive.

Caring for Men’s Skin
Some men tend to neglect their skin. But men’s skin needs to be taken care of in the same way that women’s does. Male skin care has become a profitable business with many products available specifically for men.
Do men really need their own skin care products? The answer is yes, because there are differences in the male body and skin. The sebum gland that produces oil on the skin is more active in men. For this reason pores on men often tend to get clogged more often. On some men this leads to a bumpy or uneven complexion that may look rough. Also because many men have neglected their skin over time it may need to erase some of the damage that has already been done. Most women wear makeup and lotions with sunscreen on the face daily offering some protection. Many men do not put anything on the face and have no protection from the elements.
Men need to use exfoliates to remove dead skin cells. Shaving does provide some exfoliation in men, but generally more is needed. They also need to hydrate dry skin the same way that women do. One of the problems that some men suffer from is dark circles under eyes as well as puffy. Dark circles under eyes can be caused by several different reasons including just lack of sleep.
Many products contain chemicals and alcohol which can dry out the skin. Look for natural ingredients to both moisturize and cleanse the skin. Some ingredients that have been shown to work well in men’s skincare are hyaluronic acid for exfoliation, and vitamin C to help produce collagen. With proper regular skincare men can reverse some of the damage and create healthy smooth skin.
Also look for specific diet pills and weight loss pills that are created just for men. Diet pills can be adapted more for the male body.

One of the most talked about complaints as women age is the dark circles under the eyes that can cause even the least vain of women to search for dark circles cream to get the trick done. But do creams work. It is widely known that lasers do not work well with dark circles around the eyes but the good news is that there are protein based ingredients (combinations) that actually do a great job of removing the darkness under the eyes.
These compounds can be found indifferent types of creams but most if not all also have a carrier agent that helps to penetrate the skin and many also use an ingredient that helps to thicken the skin. This keeps the darker blood that pools under the eyes from showing through so easily. There are quite a few compounds but the most notorious is the compund called Haloxyl. The peptide has been proven to not only help with the darker circles but also with the eye bags or the puffy eyes. Theese two seem to go hand in hand as the pooling blood causes the eyes to get puffy.
Componds also work very well with scars such as keloid scars, acne scars, c section scars and similar. Whether they are raised scars or smaller indented scars like you see with acne scars there are scars creams that helps. For keloid scars there is an amazing snail extract that can help to get rid of the hypertrophic or raised scar that continues to grow. This scar is called a keloid scar.
